Negronis For Tony: A Fundraiser for Project 16:49

  • Sandwich Bar 54 S. Main St. Janesville, WI 53545 United States (map)

We’re excited to bring back this fundraiser for our friends at Project 16:49 and their important work helping unhoused teens find a safe place to sleep, get a good meal, learn, and grow. It seems especially apt with the release of the movie “Tony”, which recounts Anthony Bourdain’s summer as a lost, aimless 19-year-old in Provincetown, Mass., where he discovered his love of working in kitchens and food.

There’s a reason Bourdain is on our wall. He brought together people from all walks of life and nationalities through the shared language of food. He was also a late bloomer, like the other person on our wall — Julia Child. We celebrate their roles as educators and cultural icons.

100% of bar sales will go to Project 16:49. In addition to our Saturday staples — Bloody Marys and Mimosas — we will be offering $10 Negronis all day, since that was Tony’s favorite cocktail, as well as our full menu of beer, cocktails and mocktails.
